Why a Foundation?

A foundation designed for the benefit of our students will do a number of positive things for our schools and community. It will provide financial support, promote civic pride, community involvement and participation in our schools. Contributing to the Foundation is an investment in our young people.

What the Foundation Does

The Foundation's purpose is to raise money and allocate it selectively for projects generated by teachers, parents and students. Our mission is to enhance, increase and support creative and innovative educational opportunities at United township High School.

How the Foundation is Administered

The Foundation's overall direction and policy-making are provided by a Board of Directors comprised of seven citizens who serve staggered three-year terms and ex-officio directors as named by the Board. Six of the members are appointed by the boards of education of the participating districts. The seventh member is an "at-large director" who is elected by the existing board members. The Foundation interacts with its members, the boards of education, professional staffs, teachers, parents and other groups to identify and approve appropriate
projects.
